ABOUT THE ROLE We know that caring adults make a difference! That's why we operate recreation centers and youth clubs. Rädda Barnen Välfärd is immediately seeking a youth recreation leader at 50% for our open youth program serving young people ages 13-18 that we run in Stavsnäs (Värmdö). The youth recreation leader's role is to create an active and meaningful leisure experience for and with the young people who visit our program. The recreation leader will have a coaching and supportive role, work based on the young people's own wishes, and support them in developing their various skills and abilities. The youth program environment should inspire creativity, participation, influence, and learning. Collaboration with other stakeholders is an important part of the work. As a youth recreation leader, you will be an important adult figure for the young people, and therefore high standards are required for professional conduct when interacting with youth. ARE YOU OUR NEW COLLEAGUE? To succeed in this role, we see that you have the following qualifications: Youth recreation leader certification or other relevant education At least two years of experience working in youth programs Knowledge of youth development work and coaching approach Fluent Swedish in speech and writing Personal qualities important for the role include strong collaboration and communication skills, solution-oriented and flexible, high integrity, results-oriented and ambitious.
