We are now seeking an engaged and attentive colleague for our client who lives just outside Visby. The client is a man in his 30s with Down syndrome. He does not have speech and needs your support and reliability in all aspects of his daily life.
What do the shifts look like?
The work is varied with shifts divided into:
Day shifts (08:30–16:30): You start the day at the client's home. Together you take specialized transportation to his daily activities where you are present throughout the day, and then take specialized transportation home again.
Evening and night shifts (16:30–08:30): You relieve the day staff at home during the evening, night, and morning until the next shift starts. This shift includes 9 hours of on-call time (standby).
Weekend work: During weekends, 24-hour shifts may also occur.
Who are you?
Gender doesn't matter – it's your personality that counts! We are looking for someone who is genuinely attentive and engaged. Since we value long-term employment, we would like you to be a stable and reliable presence in the client's life over an extended period. Because the client expresses himself largely through sounds and the noise level in his vicinity can occasionally be high, it is important that you are comfortable in a sound-active environment and are not noise-sensitive.
Meritorious: It is a significant advantage if you have previous experience with epilepsy.
