About the position: At BB Karolinska in Huddinge, we work daily with a diverse range of exciting patient groups in an environment characterized by great cultural diversity. We meet families and colleagues from around the world and conduct several unique operations that stand out both in Stockholm and nationally. Among other things, there is a specialized HIV clinic for pregnant women and the perinatal psychiatric unit where we collaborate across professions with psychiatry. We also have a national mission in fetal medicine and were the first in Sweden to introduce caseload midwifery through the initiative My Midwife. Since fall 2020, we also offer planned home births with support from our midwives. At BB Huddinge, we meet patients with normal and complex care needs. Care is provided in multiprofessional teams where the midwife has a central role. Research and development are a natural part of our clinical daily work, and we have several PhD-holding midwives in the operation, which creates a stimulating and knowledge-driven operation. As an assistant university midwife, you have a central role in ensuring safe, evidence-based, and inclusive care. The position involves having an in-depth responsibility for independently leading, coordinating, and developing care. In your daily work, you are a role model and support for the entire care team with a focus on quality assurance. As an assistant university midwife, you work on behalf of and in consultation with section management and OVC. You develop the operation's guidelines and working methods based on current research and evidence, and are responsible for continuous updating of guidelines. You are responsible for regularly reporting your work in relation to target areas in the operational plan. You will receive developmental work with the opportunity to contribute your knowledge at both a strategic and operational level. With your knowledge, you contribute to the entire operation's development. The position includes working two out of five weekends.
