Are you passionate about school development and want to make a difference? We are now seeking an assistant principal for Norrsätraskolan 7-9 within the Western Elementary School District. Here you will have the opportunity to combine close pedagogical leadership with a meaningful development assignment where students' learning, safety and future are in focus. Norrsätraskolan is located in the western neighborhood of Norrsätra, close to forests and walking areas. Approximately 330 students attend here and around 45 dedicated employees work together to create a safe, inclusive and developing learning environment. The area also has a grades 4-6 school and an adapted elementary school. With us, we make each other better. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES As an assistant principal at Norrsätraskolan, you will have a central role in leading and developing the operations with a focus on students' learning, safety and goal achievement. You will become part of a well-established management team with six assistant principals and one principal where collaboration, experience sharing and shared learning are a natural part of everyday work. At Norrsätraskolan, you also share leadership with an assistant principal colleague, which creates close support in your assignment. So that you can focus on what makes the biggest difference, pedagogical leadership and business development, there is administrative support, administrative staff as well as specialist functions within HR, economics, law and IT. You contribute by: • leading the pedagogical work and following up on the operations' results. • taking responsibility for systematic work environment efforts and MBL processes. • recruiting and conducting employee and salary discussions. • creating good relationships with students, employees and guardians. • driving school development and anchoring change work in an inclusive way. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for a leader who sees opportunities, builds strong relationships and believes in the power of developing operations together with others. With good pedagogical insight and great commitment to the school's mission, you create conditions for both students and employees to succeed. You are confident in your leadership, clear when direction needs to be set and attentive to different perspectives. Collaboration comes naturally to you and you contribute to a climate where people feel trust, participation and motivation. The role suits you if you are driven by development and want to work strategically and long-term with quality, results and work environment. You have the ability to translate goals into action and to lead change work in a way that creates engagement and sustainable results. The assignment requires: • pedagogical university degree. • several years of experience in school leadership. • that you are well familiar with the school's governing documents and other relevant legislation. • good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Experience working in elementary school grades 7-9 is highly meriting. It is also meriting if you have completed the national principal training. If the training has not been completed, it will be planned as part of the employment. A driver's license and access to a car may facilitate the work.
