About Us - School District 7 Hisingen School District Hisingen 7 in Gothenburg currently consists of Bräckeskolan F-6 and Taubeskolan F-6. All students at Taubeskolan should succeed based on their own circumstances. It is important that everyone feels safe and enjoys being with us. We have approximately 35 staff members for our 330 students. We are now looking for you to work as an Assistant Principal at Taubeskolan for grades F-3. The entire leadership team in School District Hisingen 7 currently consists of 1 Principal and 3.5 Assistant Principals. The leadership group will now replace one of our Assistant Principals who is retiring. As an Assistant Principal at Taubeskolan, you are part of School District Hisingen 7. We believe in close collaboration where everyone contributes to the development of the entire district. We meet across the school district every week to work together for the benefit of our students. Assistant Principals work closely with the Principal and their colleagues. We work both as a school district and according to each school unit's own circumstances. Responsibilities The work of an Assistant Principal involves exercising leadership close to students and staff and actively participating in the school leadership team. The Assistant Principal focuses on the school's core processes and works daily to make a difference for students. In this role, you have personnel and operational responsibility. This means you lead and distribute work for your group, conduct regular staff conversations, and serve as the salary-setting manager. The role is to a high degree executive and operational under delegated responsibility. How the division of tasks is made depends in part on you as the applicant and what experience you bring with you. In your leadership group, you have the support of colleagues with different experiences and a Principal with extensive experience. In this assignment, you have access to support from the administration in areas such as administration, finance, HR, quality and development work, digitalization, analysis, and legal matters. As new to the city or in a new role, there is also the opportunity to have a mentor. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: • 4 years of experience working in schools. • previous leadership experience. • knowledge of laws/regulations and other governing documents at the national level for all school and activity forms within compulsory school. It is meriting for the position: • completed principal training and/or leadership development program/training or preparatory management training. • school leadership experience or other management experience. • experience with laws/regulations and collective agreements concerning employer responsibility. • experience with financial management and resource allocation.
