Your role
As assistant principal at Rålambshovsskolan, you are part of the school's management organization where you work closely with the principal, administrative manager and assistant principal. You will be part of a management team that drives the school's development together to create equity and maintain important qualities in the operations for the benefit of students and staff. You lead engaged and experienced colleagues. The role involves leading development processes in the operations based on the school's goals and values. The school is characterized by close leadership for all staff's best working environment.
As a school leader with us at Rålambshovsskolan, you should:
- have an interest in leadership, coaching and organizational development and see your part in the organization as an important puzzle piece for our shared direction.
- have a commitment to school development and follow research.
- be experienced with change processes and a flexible approach in your assignment to create the best learning environment for our students.
- have experience with personnel responsibility and have good knowledge of the school's mission and governing documents
- enjoy working with young people and creating opportunities for student influence. All students' right to development and a good quality education should be in focus in your assignment.
If you have experience working with projects and internationalizations, which is one of Rålambshovsskolan's profiles, that is an advantage.
Your competence and your leadership
You are an experienced leader who through clear, relational and curious leadership shapes, develops and inspires your staff. You have high expectations and are responsive and thorough. Your leadership is characterized by effective communication. You have deep insight into your own leadership and how you influence your staff and your surroundings through it. You have the ability to see the long-term significance of things and adapt your leadership actions accordingly.
Formally, we are looking for you who have:
- valid teacher certification for primary school.
- experience leading staff with different professions within the school's operations in a formal management position.
- experience leading development processes successfully.
- experience taking responsibility for personnel matters such as scheduling, job distribution, recruitment and rehabilitation.
- work with student welfare issues.
- good knowledge of school organization and governing documents as well as the laws governing the school's mission.
- experience with the school's financial management.
- good insight into research related to leadership and student development.
Meritorious are:
- started or completed principal training.
- training and work with coaching and/or communication.
- completed leadership or management group training.
- experience driving development in accordance with the school's targeted work.
- experience leading processes with good results and getting your staff motivated in their work.
We place great emphasis on motivation, drive and commitment for the position.
