Assistant Principal for Grades 4-6 at Videdalsskolan

Videdalsskolan is now seeking an engaged and development-oriented assistant principal responsible for the middle grades (grades 4-6). As an assistant principal, you will be part of an experienced and committed leadership team consisting of the principal, three assistant principals, and an administrative director. Together, you will lead the school's development with a focus on high-quality instruction, safety, and good conditions for all students' learning and development. Your assignment: As an assistant principal, you are responsible for leading, developing, and organizing operations in grades 4-6. You have responsibility for personnel, work environment, quality, and operational development within your area and will lead approximately 25-30 employees. You work closely with students, staff, and guardians and have a central role in the school's systematic quality work. Your assignment includes: leading pedagogical development work in the middle grades creating conditions for an accessible and inclusive learning environment following up on results and driving quality improvement together with staff developing organization and working methods based on students' needs cooperating with student health services, guardians, authorities, and other stakeholders being an active and driving member of the school's leadership team We are looking for someone who wants to build on the school's health-oriented approach, where the student's strengths, opportunities, and development are central. Together with other managers and leaders in the City of Malmö, it is part of your assignment to work toward a socially sustainable Malmö where every student is given equal opportunities to reach established goals. Who we are looking for: You are a confident and inspiring leader who, with clarity and trust, creates engagement, participation, and shared direction with the student's best conditions in focus. With a strong development focus, you see opportunities and are driven to develop both operations and people in a changing world. Through your empathetic ability and health-oriented perspective on students, you easily understand different perspectives and build trusting relationships and collaborations where people around you feel seen and heard. You also have the persistence and confidence required to lead long-term development processes and maintain focus even when change work is complex. You have experience in leadership and a genuine interest in school development and pedagogical issues, combined with at least 3 years of experience working directly with students in school operations. Educationally, you have an academic degree of at least 180 credits, of which at least 30 credits are in pedagogy. It is advantageous if you have: experience as a school leader or manager completed principal training participated in leadership development programs or other leadership training experience with CPS (Collaborative and Proactive Solutions) as a methodological tool About Videdalsskolan: Welcome to Videdalsskolan – a Malmö in miniature!
