We are now looking for an assistant principal responsible for the preschools Bagarsjön, Chrysoliten, and Källan. Here you will lead three facilities with a strong focus on language development approaches, development of learning environments, children's participation, and long-term values-based work.
Your Assignment
In your role as assistant principal, you have a clearly delegated assignment with significant responsibility and the opportunity to influence and drive development. You are responsible operationally and strategically for your facility, while the principal holds overall responsibility for the rector area. Together with the principal, ten other assistant principals, and an administrative director, you are part of the Myrsjö Rector Area's management group. You meet regularly and collaborate on the rector area's overarching processes with a clear focus on equity and development of education.
As assistant principal, you exercise close pedagogical and operational leadership and have personnel and work environment responsibility for approximately 40 employees. You ensure that education maintains high quality and is conducted according to the curriculum. Your assignment includes responsibility for pedagogical leadership, financial monitoring, union collaboration, recruitment, and certain facility matters together with the administrative director. Furthermore, you lead and actively participate in the preschools' child health work.
You are responsible for the preschools Bagarsjön, Chrysoliten, and Källan. You are the sole assistant principal for these preschools but collaborate with the other assistant principal for preschool in the Myrsjö Rector Area. With a strategic approach, you lead, allocate, and develop the facilities together with development leaders, coordinators, and other staff to maintain and further develop the preschools' high quality. You may also take responsibility for leading development areas within the entire rector area.
Your Experience
For this position, you must have:
a pedagogical university degree with preschool teacher or teacher certification
documented leadership experience in preschool
experience driving systematic quality work in preschool or school
experience with child health work, both promotion and prevention
good digital competence with experience using digital tools for administration and communication
strong ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
It is advantageous if you also have:
experience working as a principal or assistant principal in preschool or school
experience working as a development leader, coordinator, or in a similar role with special responsibility for development work in preschool
completed or ongoing principal training
experience with personnel, financial results, and work environment responsibility
experience driving systematic work environment initiatives in preschool or school
experience with service planning
experience leading multiple facilities
experience working as an educational leader in a politically governed organization.

Bagarsjön Preschool has approximately 65 children and is beautifully located by Lake Bagarsjön in Saltsjö-Boo. The preschool offers bright facilities and a large natural outdoor area with varied play opportunities and a beautiful view over the water. Chrysoliten Preschool has approximately 99 children and is located at the edge of the forest in Krokhöjden, near Orminge center. The preschool has bright and welcoming learning environments, large play areas, and proximity to both forest and park. Here, there is diversity among both children and staff that enriches the facility. Källan Preschool has approximately 82 children and is located in the Källväg area in Saltsjö-Boo.
