DUTIES
As Deputy Principal at Gymnasieskolan Knut Hahn, you are an important part of the school's management and work in close collaboration with the principals to lead and develop the operations. You are part of the school's management team where you together take responsibility for the whole and work long-term for the school's development. The assignment involves both strategic and operational work with a focus on high goal achievement, study motivation, and a safe and inclusive learning environment.
The role includes:
Leading and developing student welfare work in close cooperation with the student welfare team. You are responsible for ensuring that preventive and promotional work maintains high quality and contributes to students' knowledge development, attendance, and well-being.
You will have personnel responsibility for the school's full-time mentors. This involves management, employee conversations, skills development, and support in the mentor assignment regarding students' study situation, progress, and goal achievement.
You are expected to relieve the principals in the daily operations of the activities by handling operational issues, making decisions within delegated responsibility, and contributing to structure and coordination in the organization. As Deputy Principal, you will actively participate in the school's systematic quality work where you follow up results, analyze data, and drive development initiatives linked to teaching and student results. You are also expected to contribute to pedagogical leadership with a particular focus on strengthening the quality of teaching and creating good conditions for teachers' work.
The role also includes collaborating with guardians, external actors, and working life to strengthen students' prerequisites for further studies and working life.
QUALIFICATIONS
You are expected to be a present and accessible leader in the organization with good knowledge of the students' and staff's daily routines and be a communicative leader who has the ability to create good relationships. We see that you as a person are orderly and structured while you should be forward-driving and developmental.
To succeed in the assignment, you are expected to have a pedagogical education at university level and experience of leadership. It is meritorious if you have principal training and experience of working within upper secondary school.
You are expected to have a category B driving license.

Salary form: Monthly salary.
