Read more at http://datahub.aida.scilifelab.se/ You will be active within the research community, participate in departmental activities such as seminars and workshops, engage in research projects, communicate results through scientific publications, and contribute to attracting external research funding. This position includes contributing to skills development throughout the country through AIDA's activities regarding project support, workshops, and courses. The position may to a lesser extent include teaching at undergraduate and advanced levels as well as supervision of students in the faculty's various educational programs. You will actively contribute to the university's development efforts. Collaboration is an integrated part of the university's research and education mission. Research collaboration occurs through disseminating, making accessible, and utilizing research. The position involves close collaboration with leaders and expertise from various organizations, educational institutions, companies, and healthcare providers, in other cities and countries, and travel can be expected as a natural part of the work. In this position, you will be the scientific leader for AIDA Data Hub's operations. This includes driving and developing the hub's strategies to support excellent patient-centered research and taking responsibility for the hub's scientific collaborations. The role is part of the hub's management group and is supervised by the Head of Unit, who has overall responsibility for the hub's entire operations. As the hub is a unit within SciLifeLab, you are expected to assume the role of Platform Scientific Director in SciLifeLab's organization. Key responsibilities include developing and driving collaborations, particularly within large-scale international research consortia, and successfully attracting external funding for the hub's development. The role includes responsibility for the hub's support to strategic partners, as well as responsibility for platform features specific to the medical application domains the hub supports. The role also includes operational work within this system development. Your work includes monitoring developments nationally and internationally within your field and the broader societal developments that are relevant to your work. You are flexible and have the ability to move between different types of educational and scientific contexts. You share knowledge and contribute to your work group's professional development, collegial working practices, and social community. Being present and active is essential for you to perform your tasks effectively and thrive in the work environment. Your Qualifications We are seeking someone who has been approved as a docent (associate professor) or has equivalent scientific competence, and has demonstrated pedagogical skill or other professional skill that is relevant given the position's subject content and work tasks.
