The Municipal Administration Office is responsible for governance, leadership, and development of Botkyrka Municipality. An important part of this mission is to create modern, secure, and accessible digital solutions that provide the municipality's operations with the right conditions to meet residents' needs. You will become part of the Digital Infrastructure and Operations Unit, where we work to develop and manage the municipality's IT environment. We are currently on a development journey focused on modern technology, structured working methods, and a user experience characterized by quality, accessibility, and service. The Role and Responsibilities We are seeking an Assistant Unit Manager for the Digital Infrastructure and Operations unit within Botkyrka Municipality. As Assistant Unit Manager, you provide operational leadership for the municipality's IT operations and work closely with the Unit Manager to develop a stable, secure, and long-term sustainable operations organization. You have personnel responsibility for a team of IT technicians and specialists in service operations and networking, where you lead, delegate, and follow up on work while creating conditions for quality in deliverables, a sustainable work climate, and employee development. The role involves combining business development with close and present leadership. You are responsible for coaching and developing your employees while monitoring deliverables, developing working methods, and ensuring that the organization meets both current and future needs. You have many contact points and collaborate with internal operations, external suppliers, and other functions within the municipality. Your main responsibilities are to: lead and delegate daily work within operations and infrastructure lead, coach, and develop employees and monitor the organization's goals and results ensure that deliverables are executed according to goals, requirements, and agreements drive development and improvement initiatives within operations and support monitor SLAs, key metrics, and external suppliers develop working methods according to ITIL, focusing on incident, problem, and change management contribute to cost-effective solutions through analysis and monitoring. You work at the intersection of technology, operations, and leadership where you contribute to both daily operations and the long-term development of the municipality's IT infrastructure. What We Offer You Digital Infrastructure and Operations manages the central technical platform that supports the municipality's operations and digital development. The unit employs IT technicians and specialists with broad expertise in operations, networking, and service operations. Together, you will develop working methods and deliverables to create a stable, secure, and efficient IT environment that meets operational needs. As Assistant Unit Manager, you receive an assignment that combines operational leadership with development work. You work closely with the Unit Manager and have support from functions including HR, finance, and information security. You as a Candidate You have post-secondary education in IT or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have several years of experience in a leadership role within IT operations or infrastructure and are experienced working in complex IT environments where you make decisions related to operations, delivery, and systems. Other requirements for the position: Experience working in hybrid environments with both Azure and on-premises operations. Experience with IT security work within operations and infrastructure services. Experience leading change and development initiatives. Experience monitoring agreements and working with key metrics. We consider it advantageous if you have: Experience working with security-related frameworks or regulations, such as ISO 27001, NIS2, or MSB's recommendations for the public sector. Experience working according to ITIL, pm3, or similar frameworks. Experience with supplier management and sourcing. As Assistant Unit Manager, you are confident and structured in your leadership. You create clarity in daily work, prioritize based on operational needs, and make well-reasoned decisions even when circumstances change. You work methodically and ensure that security, continuity, and compliance are a natural part of daily operations. Through a long-term and systematic approach, you contribute to stable deliverables and a robust IT environment. You are also collaborative and results-oriented. You build good relationships with employees, colleagues, and external partners and see the value of collaboration in reaching common goals.
