The Operations Support and Development Unit within the Care and Social Services Administration in Östersund Municipality is now seeking an assistant unit manager driven by creating structure, quality, and development in an operation that makes a difference for many.
The Operations Support and Development Unit is a staff unit responsible for developing and coordinating the administration's operational systems, welfare technology, and security and facility-related matters. The unit consists of approximately 30 employees and is organized in two parts: an operational part that is responsible for programming and deprogramming safety alarms, digital locks, and other welfare technology, as well as a part that works with strategic assignments.
As assistant unit manager, you are responsible for alarms and technology, which is the operational part. You will be part of a management group consisting of the unit manager and work leaders where good opportunities for collegial support exist. We are located in newly renovated premises at Sollidenvägen 64A, and the office contributes to a good work environment and promotes close collaboration. Working hours are office hours, Monday through Friday.
The position is 100% with a planned start in the fall.
Your New Role
You will be responsible for an operation where your work makes a real difference for people who need support and care, and you will lead a work group with care, engagement, and high ambitions.
As assistant unit manager, you have formal personnel responsibility and partial responsibility for operations within Alarms and Technology. The assignment involves organizing, leading, and developing operational work within welfare technology solutions and telephone matters. You collaborate closely with the two work leaders for technicians/sector custodians and system administrators respectively. Examples of work tasks may include developing work methods, prioritizing matters, and ensuring an efficient and smooth flow in the operation. The position also includes serving, on behalf of the administration manager, as chief of staff for the Care and Social Services Administration's staff organization in the event of crises and civil disturbances that threaten protected interests in the administration's operations.
You will be organizationally placed under the unit manager for the Operations Support and Development Unit, which means close collaboration in daily work.
Your Competence
Requirements
University degree relevant to the position
Previous experience of leadership with personnel responsibility
Very good computer skills
Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
Meriting
Previous work experience and knowledge of working with welfare technology solutions
Experience with administrative work in the public sector
