The Support and Governance Business Area works with effective internal support and good internal governance and control. We develop our operations for a sustainable society. Legal matters, process support, finance, operations management, personnel issues, competence supply, IT matters, internal services, procurement, and facilities management are part of the business area.
The Finance Unit is a unit within the Support and Governance Business Area, with responsibility areas including operations management, financial management, financial administration, procurement, and purchasing matters. The unit operates primarily in Härnösand and Örebro, with the unit manager based in Örebro. Because the unit's employees, like the operations we support, are spread across different locations, most of the work takes place in digital meetings.
We are seeking a Deputy Unit Manager for the Finance Unit in Örebro. In this position, you will have personnel and work environment responsibility for approximately ten employees in the areas of financial administration and financial management. This responsibility includes salary setting, competence supply, and leadership and work distribution within the relevant areas. You will also have operational responsibility in the unit's assignment regarding accounting and financial monitoring at the authority level. In your role, you will work closely with the unit's accounting controller as well as with the Finance Manager and the four operations support managers within the authority's four business areas regarding the unit's support to operations. As a manager, you have access to internal support within the business area's management support.

WORK TASKS
Your work includes, for example
• leading, distributing, and developing work within the authority's accounting and financial administration and to some extent financial management
• personnel responsibility for employees in the relevant areas
• participating as needed in the authority's accounting, annual accounts, and overall financial monitoring
• contributing to ongoing work within the relevant areas.
We currently use the business system Unit4 ERP.
Since the relevant work group is spread across different locations, you will lead some employees remotely. Although most meetings are held digitally, the position may involve some travel.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has
• A university degree in economics
• At least three years of documented management experience
• At least three years of experience with independent work in accounting and financial monitoring
• Good experience with financial systems and Excel as well as other tools for financial monitoring
• Experience working in public sector operations
• Very good ability to express yourself orally in Swedish or Swedish Sign Language and in writing in Swedish.
It is meritorious if you have
• Experience leading change and development work
• Experience in government accounting and financial management.
