About the Operations Regional Psychiatry and Habilitation Services coordinates regional healthcare for adult psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, and habilitation in Region Västernorrland. Regional healthcare operations are conducted at three hospitals—Sundsvall, Sollefteå, and Örnsköldsvik—and at a number of clinics located in several towns throughout the region. The Addiction Team is a region-wide team connected to psychiatric inpatient care at Department 7 in Sundsvall. The team functions as a link between psychiatric inpatient, intermediate, and outpatient care, primary care, municipalities, health and medical services, and provides all actors with consultative support while serving as a center of expertise. The team plans care before, during, and after inpatient treatment and is an important link in the care chain for individuals. The Addiction Team provides guidance and support to the region's municipalities, primary care, and other care partners, and implements clinical interventions of an outpatient nature. The team, currently consisting of two coordinators, a nurse, a social worker, and a physician, will be strengthened with additional staff to provide treatment services for direct work with patients with harmful use and substance dependence combined with psychiatric issues. This is part of a transition effort aligned with the comorbidity reform. Travel within the region may occur. We are now seeking an Assistant Unit Manager for the Addiction Team / Department 7. The position involves a management assignment with limited supervisory responsibility. Employment is on a permanent basis in your base profession, and the management assignment is time-limited in accordance with the region's leadership policy. Work Duties Together with the Unit Manager, you as Assistant Unit Manager will plan, organize, and lead work in the unit. As Assistant Unit Manager, you will: Contribute to development matters and drive improvement work Plan competency development for the unit and staff members Follow up on operational goals Together with the Unit Manager and staff, you will shape the unit's working methods, procedures, and routines based on applicable legislation Other administrative work as needed Approver in the personnel administration systems Heroma and Proceedo Schedule planning Recruitment, employment, and onboarding The position also includes clinical patient work Together with the Unit Manager, you will participate in workplace meetings, other meetings, and planning of organizational days. You will actively contribute to promoting a good psychosocial work environment in the unit by maintaining regular contact with the staff. You will substitute for the Unit Manager in certain decision-making matters during their absence.
