Read their answers here: 10 Reasons to Work at Psychiatry Southwest About the Role As an assistant unit manager, you work closely with the unit manager and are an important part of the ward's leadership. You work operationally and close to the business, with great focus on daily operations. You need to feel comfortable being where the work happens, meeting staff and patients, and seeing what needs to be done. In this role, you independently drive matters forward, solve problems, and make decisions within your mandate, while also having good judgment about when a matter should be escalated. When the unit manager is away, you take on operational leadership and hold the operation together. Together with the team, you also become a key person in our development work, where you turn good ideas into practical reality in everyday operations. Who Are You? Qualifications Licensed nurse Experience from psychiatric inpatient care. Meritorious Specialist education in psychiatric care Experience working with affective disorders Leadership experience Experience with improvement or development work.
