The adapted primary school in Mölndal City is growing and developing at a rapid pace. We have gone from three adapted primary schools to one joint operation - Åbybergsskolan 1-9. Åbybergsskolan is a newly built school that was completed in fall 2025 and offers modern and fit-for-purpose facilities for our students and employees. We are now looking for an assistant rector who wants to be part of developing our operations together with the rector and existing assistant rector. Together you will be responsible for a cohesive school track for students between 7 and 16 years of age within adapted primary school in Mölndal. As an assistant rector, you work in close co-leadership with the rector and other school management. The assignment covers the entire operation and the areas of responsibility may vary over time based on the organization's needs and development. You are expected to contribute to leading, organizing, and developing the operation with a focus on students' learning, safety, and goal achievement. WORK TASKS You have delegated responsibility for personnel, pedagogical leadership, and work environment for employees within the areas of responsibility you lead. You are part of the school's management group where you, in collaboration with the rector, lead and together with the work teams develop the entire school unit. Our students and their goal achievement are at the center. You will independently be responsible for work tasks that you plan, carry out, and evaluate. Together with the rector, you shape your assignment based on your experience and competence. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you as a qualified teacher with experience working in educational operations. It is a merit if you have started or completed rector training, participated in leadership development programs, or other management preparation training. Previous leadership experience and documented leadership training are also considered merits. You have good digital competence and see digitalization as a natural part of the school's development. You have the ability to lead, inspire, and support employees in working to develop operations through digital tools and methods. As a leader, you build your work on trust, engagement, and participation. You create good relationships with employees, students, and guardians and have a strong ability to build confidence. To promote dialogue and participation, you are communicative and can adapt your message based on the recipient and situation. You listen actively, communicate clearly, and handle conflicts in a constructive and solution-focused manner. You have a genuine interest in school development and strive to continuously develop in your professional role. Through reflection and analysis, you contribute to the operation's continued development and improved results for students. To succeed in the assignment, you need to be organized and have good ability to independently plan, prioritize, and organize your work. You see possibilities where others see obstacles and have a positive and solution-oriented approach. The assignment involves close collaboration with the rector and other management functions, which requires good collaboration skills and a humble approach. You are inspired by working in an operation characterized by development, complexity, and innovative thinking. At the same time, you are confident in your leadership, clear in your decisions, and have the courage to stand up for students' right to equivalent education of high quality.
