Forensic Psychiatry in Örebro consists of five departments with a total of 43 inpatient beds. We are now seeking an assistant unit manager for departments 6 and 7 who finds it exciting to be part of developing and delivering high-quality forensic psychiatric care. Department 6 is our intake and assessment department with seven care beds, where the patient begins their care process. Department 6 also has the capacity to receive detained patients as it has a higher security classification. Department 7 is a rehabilitation department with seven care beds. Here patients are further along in their care process, meaning they are in the rehabilitation or discharge phase, and part of their rehabilitation takes place outside the department. Collaboration with other actors in the care chain is therefore a significant part of our operations. Responsibilities The role of assistant unit manager involves varied work where you will collaborate closely with the unit manager and staff on the unit, as well as with the rest of the organization and external actors involved in patient care. The main tasks involve operations and personnel management. You will be involved in and drive the development of working methods and routines, carry out improvement work, and actively work to promote a positive work environment and good relationships. You keep the patient's best interests in focus and ensure that high care quality and patient safety are maintained in our operations. Your responsibilities also include involvement in recruitment, staffing issues, and scheduling. To lead in a safe and competent manner, it is essential that our managers and leaders, in addition to management and leadership skills, have good operational knowledge and understanding of how clinical work functions and develops. The Health and Social Care Administration therefore views managers' participation in clinical operations as an asset to leadership. The responsibilities are carried out on behalf of the unit manager and may change and be adapted depending on operational needs. Qualifications Nurse or healthcare worker with experience in psychiatric inpatient care, preferably from forensic psychiatric care. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability, and previous leadership experience is meritorious. As a person, you are engaged, driven, and have good communication and collaboration skills. You have strong leadership qualities and can work in a systematic and structured manner based on the organization's goals. About the Operations Within forensic psychiatric operations, we assess, treat, and rehabilitate individuals sentenced to forensic psychiatric care. The operations consist of a number of care departments and an outpatient team. Together we are around 90 employees working with common processes and goals. We work in multidisciplinary teams based on a holistic view of the individual and adapt care measures to the patient's needs and circumstances. We work to promote the involvement of relatives in care.
