The Social Services Department's mission is to meet people's needs for security. The department shall work to ensure that the municipality's residents receive social care in various forms and with special responsibility for looking after the needs and interests of vulnerable groups. WORK DUTIES
Following the changes in the new Social Services Act, we now need to expand our staffing. We are therefore seeking two committed and competent case workers to investigate and handle matters according to the Social Services Act.
In your role, you will work closely with several experienced case workers, which provides good opportunities for guidance, collegial support and joint problem-solving.
As a case worker, you investigate and handle applications according to the Social Services Act. You make decisions and follow up on interventions according to IBIC (Individual Needs in Focus). You primarily investigate services for elderly persons, including home care services, short-term accommodation, special housing, etc. You will collaborate with other professionals within the municipality as well as with other authorities and organizations.
As a case worker, you need to be structured, thorough and able to independently plan your work.
You will participate in the unit's development work based on the new Social Services Act.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a degree from a social work program, social care program or other post-secondary education that the employer considers equivalent, which includes law with authority exercise. Experience in similar work is an asset. You speak and write fluent Swedish, and it is desirable that you have knowledge of Finnish and Sámi.
You have a holistic approach in your work and the ability to get different parts to work together are important qualities, as are commitment and development orientation. Understanding and respect for working in a politically governed organization is necessary for this assignment. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
Class B driver's license is a requirement
