Welcome to Us Would you like to work with public authority responsibilities and are interested in serving the elderly? Benefits Assessment for Elderly is responsible for exercising public authority according to the Social Services Act for people over 65 years old. The department is led by a department manager and includes a staff unit and four benefits assessment teams with a total of 93 dedicated employees. Each team is led by a team manager, and within the teams work benefits assessment officers, mentors, group leaders, transportation service and fee handlers, and administrators. Your Role As a benefits assessment officer, you are responsible for investigating needs, assessing, deciding on, and following up on services according to the Social Services Act for people over 65 years old. Follow-up of approved services, implementation, and costs are included as part of your responsibilities. The work consists largely of documentation and meetings with others, and therefore requires strong communication skills both verbally and in writing. Your Competence and Experience We are looking for you who have: A degree in social work (Socionomexamen). Relevant experience of more than 6 months in benefits assessment within elderly care. Good knowledge of the Social Services Act and legal precedents. Strong Swedish language skills, both verbal and written. It is beneficial if you have: Knowledge of Stockholm City's guidelines for elderly care within social services. Experience working with benefits assessment within Stockholm City. Practical experience and knowledge of the documentation systems Paraply and LifeCareSP. We need someone who is flexible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances. In benefits assessment, you will make many decisions, and we are looking for someone who makes decisions with good judgment and acts on them despite limited information, time pressure, or difficult circumstances. You work well with other professionals and value collaboration, and you are passionate about continuous service development. As a person, you are organized with strong ability to organize and prioritize your work efficiently.
