The Health and Care Administration provides services, support, care, and assistance to the elderly and people with disabilities, and is responsible for public authority functions in accordance with applicable legislation. The administration operates within elderly care, LSS, social psychiatry, health and medical care, family support, and public authority functions. All work is performed with the resident in focus, based on our core values: respect, participation, trust, and security. Within the Public Authority Division, there are 19 support services officers distributed across three teams: LSS children and adults, Social Services Act – elderly care, and Social Services Act – social psychiatry. Work is led from September 1, 2026 onward by two unit managers and one area manager. The division also has housing coordinators, fee handlers, investigators, and other administrative staff. WORK TASKS We are seeking two courageous and committed individuals who want to work with us as two team members have moved on to new adventures. As a support services officer within LSS, you work with adults or children with various disabilities. You receive applications from individuals or their representatives. You conduct investigations by gathering information and making assessments. You work with the entire public authority process, from application and investigation to decision and follow-up. Your work is based on applicable legislation, case law, and our internal procedures. You collaborate closely with colleagues, other authorities, and the individual's network, always with a focus on legal certainty, participation, and respect for the individual's needs. We work in the Life Care management system. Experience working as a support services officer within LSS is a merit for these positions. A valid driver's license is required for these positions as travel is part of the work. You need to be structured, which means you work according to a clear process, organize and plan your work well, complete what you start, and meet deadlines. To be suitable for this position, you should be collaboration-oriented. You adapt and find solutions through an unpretentious focus on the common goal. Employment type: Permanent employment.
