As a social psychiatry case officer, you will become part of the assistance unit within the social services department. The assistance unit has 11 case officers as well as family support coordinators and senior advisors. You will be part of a group of four case officers working with cases in social psychiatry and LSS (Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments), with your primary focus being social psychiatry. As a social psychiatry case officer, you will receive and investigate applications for housing support and specialized housing.
The assistance unit is led by a unit manager and team leader with many years of experience in case handling within the unit's area.

WORK DUTIES
As a social psychiatry case officer, your task will be to investigate, assess, and make decisions on interventions according to the Social Services Act and to follow up on approved decisions. You will work with the target group of individuals with mental health issues and functional impairments. You will work closely with and maintain contact with other case officers in the unit, service providers, family members, healthcare services, and other stakeholders. You should independently monitor developments in your professional area and participate in the unit's development work.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is skilled at meeting people in different life situations. You are courageous and good at handling various situations that may arise in these encounters. You can also be flexible and find solutions with the individual at the center. Other qualities we consider important are that you are responsible, that you can work independently and prioritize, and that you are confident in making decisions.
You have a degree in social work or another education deemed equivalent. You have experience in case handling within the Social Services Act and LSS. Advantageous are education and experience within IBIC, the Life Care management system, and MI (Motivational Interviewing).
