Söderköping Municipality is in an exciting development process aimed at social services case officers within elderly care.
The case officer team currently consists of five case officers where the team has a senior case officer who is available as decision support in the group. The team also includes a housing coordinator whose task is to allocate the municipality's places for special housing, respite care and short-term housing.
You collaborate with several teams and have proximity to colleagues and your unit manager, and you are part of a work group that has close collaboration with each other and where it is a matter of course to support each other in day-to-day work. As a case officer with us, you have important and meaningful work.
Job Description
As a case officer, you ensure a legally sound investigation process of good quality. The work as a case officer involves independently investigating, assessing and deciding on services according to the Social Services Act (SoL), as well as following up and reconsidering granted services. The handling is based on the individual's needs, resources, goals and results within different life areas in daily life. The target group is primarily persons 65 years and older. In your work as a case officer, you are expected to contribute to the operation maintaining high quality and contribute to the operation's goal achievement. The work tasks include close collaboration with users, relatives, colleagues and other professionals and authorities. As of July 1, 2025, the new Social Services Act came into force. The new law aims to make social services more preventative, accessible and knowledge-based, which requires the operation to dare to test new ways of working and then jointly handle the challenges.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with higher education as a social worker or other relevant higher education that the employer deems equivalent. We would like to see that you have experience with authority operations in the form of case handling according to SoL. Experience with investigation work according to IBIC as well as the Lifecare activity system is meritorious. We assume that you can handle difficult conversations and make decisions in a professional and respectful manner. You take responsibility and work independently in day-to-day work. As a person, you should be flexible and have the ability to adapt to changes.
You must have good Swedish in both spoken and written form.
A Class B driver's license is required.
