Job Description In this role, you will provide biostatistical support and data management in close collaboration with researchers and other research-supporting functions. You will often be involved in projects through several phases – from planning and study design to analysis, interpretation, and publication. The work involves both advising on and conducting statistical analyses, depending on the projects' needs. Work is done in a team, where you together with colleagues contribute to comprehensive support in planning and conducting clinical studies. You will, among other things: Contribute to the planning and design of research studies Provide advice on statistical methods and analysis strategies Interpret and communicate results from statistical analyses Participate in training sessions and seminars on statistics and study design Support work with data from, for example, quality registers and other health data Contribute to developing overall statistical support for clinical studies Work Group At the Clinical Research Support Unit, 17 colleagues work with specialist expertise in various aspects of clinical research and research support. Work is conducted in close collaboration, both within the unit and with other functions within Region Östergötland and Linköping University. The team has expertise in, among other things, study design, regulatory advice, monitoring, data management, and budgeting and contracting related to clinical studies. Together, this creates the conditions for comprehensive support to researchers throughout the research process. About You We are looking for someone with education in biostatistics, statistics, mathematical statistics, or an equivalent field. You have solid knowledge of programming and experience with statistical software, such as SPSS, R, Stata, or similar. Experience with clinical studies, such as clinical trials, epidemiological studies, observational studies, and registry-based research, is a merit. The work often takes place in national and international settings, which means you need to have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
