Swedish healthcare and social services are undergoing significant changes and developments. The National Board of Health and Welfare plays a central role in supporting the evolution toward high-quality care, services, and dental care through analyses. Would you like to work on making complex matters comprehensible? The Unit for Epidemiology and Quantitative Analyses conducts descriptive, in-depth analyses and epidemiological studies of prioritized areas. We work with quantitative register analyses, forecasts, and indicator-based evaluations, among other things. The unit also provides methodological support to other departments and units and applies various types of statistical analysis methods within the agency's areas of activity. We are now seeking an experienced biostatistician with current expertise in statistics who wants to work on analytical and statistical assignments. You will independently serve as an internal consultant on matters relating to statistics, statistical methodology, and epidemiology. We are looking for someone who has formal and current expertise in mathematical statistics/statistics multiple years of experience with biostatistical and epidemiological studies/projects experience supporting the implementation and quality review of analyses experience with linking national health data and social service registers very strong programming skills the ability to apply new statistical methods to data and assess results the ability to communicate clearly and pedagogically in Swedish, both orally and in writing About You The position requires good initiative, analytical skills, and attention to detail. You also need to be a strong collaborator and well-organized. During recruitment, we will place significant emphasis on your personal qualities. It is a plus if you have experience with project management and project work the ability to create macros in SAS and work in SQL previous experience in a government agency Good to Know This is a permanent full-time position based in Stockholm. You will work from the office at Västerbroplan in Stockholm. In spring 2027, the agency will move to newly renovated premises in Solna Strand. Your job title will be Statistician, and you will be placed in the Analysis Department, A/EPIK - Epidemiology and Quantitative Analyses.
