The Unit for Clinical Chemistry and Transfusion Medicine in Northern Hälsingland operates laboratories in Hudiksvall and Ljusdal. We provide laboratory services and diagnostics using modern and quality-assured methods. We are an accredited operation with approximately 40 employees, most of whom are biomedical analysts, along with nurses, nursing assistants, and other personnel categories. We are an important part of healthcare and offer analyses and decision support that make a difference every day. At the laboratory in Ljusdal, we currently have approximately nine employees. We are now looking for you to join our secure and competent team at Ljusdal Community Hospital and contribute with knowledge, curiosity, and a willingness to develop together with us. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a biomedical analyst, you will have a varied and meaningful role where you contribute to both a secure blood supply and ensuring high quality in laboratory operations. You work closely with blood donors, patients, and colleagues, and are an important part of the chain that enables safe healthcare. Together with a colleague, you are responsible for blood donation work where you combine patient-facing work with laboratory tasks. The position involves only daytime work, Monday through Friday. Main responsibilities • Receive both newly registered and previous blood donors and conduct health declarations and blood donations • Perform laboratory work and sample receipt • Perform venous and capillary sampling • Work with assessment and technical approval of analysis results and suggest measures and troubleshoot deviations • Administrative work such as email and TeleQ • Participate in improvement and development work. To succeed in the role, the following are required • Swedish license to work as a biomedical analyst • Good knowledge of the Swedish language at minimum C1 level. It is an advantage if you have experience working in transfusion medicine and/or laboratory medicine. We would also like to see that you have worked with blood donation and blood operations.
