Our Operations
Clinical Chemistry and Pharmacology (KKF) is part of the Akademiska Laboratory operations area. We conduct highly specialized diagnostics around the clock and offer qualified guidance within chemistry and pharmacology. The operation handles approximately 6,500 test tubes per workday. Our analyses are fast, quality-assured, and designed to support healthcare processes and promote research and development.
We also provide support to patient-facing operations in both inpatient and outpatient care, as well as sample collection during office hours at Akademiska Hospital and at the laboratory at Lasarettet in Enköping. Within KKF, approximately 140 employees work, and we strive to be an attractive workplace characterized by professionalism, commitment, and good leadership.
Your Assignment
As a biomedical analyst at Clinical Chemistry and Pharmacology, you are offered qualified and varied work in a high-tech laboratory environment. Work tasks include independent laboratory work, including pre-analytical work, assessment and technical approval of analyses. You will have a primary focus on one of our specialized analysis laboratories and will primarily work with cell and molecular biological methods, genotyping, and flow cytometry. The role also includes responsibility for contributing to diagnostics, education, information, and quality assurance within the operations.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a licensed biomedical analyst. It is advantageous if you have experience with similar tasks from other hospital laboratories. Furthermore, it is advantageous to have knowledge within cell biology, PCR, genetics where good manual handling is required.
Your Competence
You have good collaboration skills, a humble approach, and share your knowledge with others. The work involves varying pace and requires the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new work tasks and to work both independently and in a group.
Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing is a requirement for the position as the work involves communication, documentation, and quality assurance in Swedish.
Personal suitability and the ability to quickly get into the work will be given great importance.
We Offer
Permanent employment 100%, at Clinical Chemistry and Pharmacology, Akademiska Hospital. Start date by agreement. A trial period may be applied.
After completed training, the position includes daytime work (Monday – Friday, 8:00-16:45). Once you have settled into the work, there is the opportunity to work on-call hours (evenings and weekends). With regular work during inconvenient working hours, a fixed salary supplement and compensation per inconvenient work shift are provided, in addition to regular on-call and overtime compensation.
