Job Responsibilities "SciLifeLab and Wallenberg National Program for Data-Driven Life Science" (DDLS) is a 12-year initiative focused on data-driven research, with the aim of educating and recruiting the next generation of life scientists and creating strong and globally competitive expertise in computational science and data science for Swedish life science. The program aims to strengthen national collaborations between universities, bridge research environments within life and data science, and create partnerships with industry, healthcare, and other national and international actors. We are now seeking an outstanding bioinformatician specializing in advanced bioinformatic processing of structural biology data, with a focus on cryo-EM to support excellent research projects and participate in supervision and research training at the national level. As part of our national team, you will become a fully integrated member of SciLifeLab's bioinformatics platform, with placement at the cryo-EM unit at SciLifeLab in Solna. The main responsibilities are to: Conduct advanced data analyses for nationally prioritized research projects in life science, with a focus on structural biology. Participate in the development and implementation of certain tools and workflows for such analyses. Train other researchers throughout Sweden through collaboration in project support, consultations, mentorship, and advanced national research training courses. Qualifications Candidates must have: PhD or equivalent work experience in structural biology Documented experience with advanced bioinformatic processing of cryo-EM data relevant to internationally competitive life science research. Very good oral and written communication skills in English. Strong collaboration and communication skills. Additional Qualifications Experience with other structural biology methods such as X-ray and biophysical data is a merit. Basic programming skills are a merit. "Reproducible research" and "FAIR data" are central concepts for us, and we value experience in developing reproducible work methods and data workflows. About the Position The position is full-time and limited to 12 months. Stockholm University applies individual salary setting. Start date according to agreement.
