Do you want to combine creativity, pedagogy, and digital development? Kulturskolan is now seeking an engaged visual arts educator who wants to help shape a new teaching model where digital instruction is the focus and can be combined with in-person meetings.
This is a unique opportunity to develop and test new approaches within visual arts. In the subject Image - Color and Imagination, we explore how digital teaching formats and tools can contribute to increased accessibility, creativity, and learning for children and young people.
About the position:
As a visual arts educator, you will have an important role in developing, planning, and delivering visual arts instruction. You will be involved in creating content, methods, and approaches that combine digital teaching with in-person meetings.
We offer a creative and development-focused assignment where you have the opportunity to influence both the content of instruction and future working methods. You work independently and are also part of a team with engaged colleagues, with great freedom to contribute ideas, experience, and new perspectives.
The project starts during 2026 and runs throughout 2027. The goal is to develop sustainable working methods that can become part of Kulturskolan's activities in the long term.
We are looking for you who:
Have a degree as a visual arts educator or equivalent education.
Have experience teaching within visual arts.
Are curious about new approaches and digital possibilities.
Enjoy developing, testing, and evaluating new methods.
Can work both independently and together with colleagues.
You are creative, relationship-building, and communicative. You build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues and contribute to an inspiring learning environment where students can develop according to their abilities. You are resourceful and confident in taking responsibility for your work while appreciating collaboration and knowledge exchange with others.
It is a merit if you have experience working at a culture school or similar activities. Experience with digital tools, distance teaching, or hybrid teaching is also an advantage. If you also have broad competence in various artistic expressions and techniques, we see that as positive.

About the employment
The position comprises 25–35 percent and is designed in dialogue based on needs and circumstances. Start date according to agreement, preferably no later than September 30, 2026. The first part of the project runs through December 2027. Working hours are flexible and combined with digital methods. Evening and weekend work may occur.
Before employment with us, we will ask you to show an extract from the Swedish Police Criminal Records Register. The extract we request is "School or preschool" and you need to request the extract yourself, which you can find on the police website: Criminal Records Register - request extract | Swedish Police (polisen.se)
Once you have received your extract, you then present it to the recruiting manager. The fastest way to get your extract is to use the e-service and order it online with BankID.
You will also need to show a passport or national ID card issued by police at the interview.

With us, you work together with just over twenty other educators in a team with a very good atmosphere. We teach music, theater, magic, live streaming and film, comic drawing, and imagination and color. We have nearly 800 unique students in our voluntary activities.
Teaching takes place in many different locations in the municipality and is organized as both individual and group instruction. We have our own premises and premises that we share with the primary school. Regular performances and events are part of everyday life, and we strive to bring joy to all residents of the municipality.
