Library Information Specialist

1. Main duties:
1.1. Collect, select, and process/prepare local history materials for collections and digitalization;
1.2. Digitalize significant local history materials, ensuring their accessibility and preservation in an organized, easily searchable format;
1.3. Perform information resource cataloging and record quality control in the BIS ALISE Municipality database;
1.4. Ensure the functionality of the interactive exhibition "Salaspils Municipality History Story," conduct group sessions;
1.5. Provide bibliographic references and consultations in the field of local history;
1.6. Provide library user services both on-site and remotely.
2. Requirements for candidates:
2.1. Higher education in social sciences or humanities, or professional secondary education in library science;
2.2. Knowledge and use of information and communication technologies;
2.3. Ability to search, obtain, analyze, and evaluate information and information resources;
2.4. Strong organizational, collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.
