Librarian Temporary Positions Creating Meeting Places with Books in Focus

Your New Role As a librarian, you will work with media management, staffing the information desk, book displays and planning, as well as organizing and implementing activities – including reading promotion initiatives for our priority groups. The work is varied and gives you the opportunity to contribute with your ideas and expertise. You will have a responsibility area focusing on children, young people, or adults – your experience and competence will determine your placement. Your Competence We are looking for you with a degree in Library and Information Science or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Since the workplace varies, it is important that you are flexible, well-organized, and quickly see what needs to be done. You have good social skills, a positive attitude, and are skilled at building good relationships with both visitors and colleagues. You have good IT skills and broad knowledge of literature. It is an advantage if you have previous experience working in libraries. Good to Know The positions are temporary employment for 11 months with a start date by agreement. You will have your main placement at one library, but will also work at several other locations – evenings and weekends are included to serve our visitors when they need us most.
