Based on a large main library complemented by seven branch libraries and a new library bus, our aim is to provide sought-after and high-quality library services to the residents of Norrköping. We are part of the Education and Youth division at the Growth and Development Office, which enriches people and contributes to meaningful lives, improved public health, and sustainable development. Your responsibilities As an important part of ongoing development work, we are now seeking two librarians to work broadly within the organization. Your base will be at the large main library, where you will, among other things, be part of a team responsible for public service and internal logistics, but where there is also room for specialization within your own areas of expertise. You will work at branch libraries and, together with colleagues, take on assignments within media, programming, and outreach activities. You will collaborate with various actors in civil society and with your colleagues within the municipal organization. Working hours are varied with daytime, evening, and some weekend shifts. The possibility for remote work is limited – we are where our visitors are. Who are you? We are looking for someone with a degree in Library and Information Science or other higher education that the employer deems relevant. We view experience working in public libraries positively. You have a genuine interest in people and enjoy being the library's face to the public. You find it easy to meet the public. In interactions with people, you are attentive, relationship-building, and curious, with a focus on inclusion and cooperation. You find it easy to make connections and have the ability to turn ideas into action. You are solution-focused and driven by the desire to be part of developing the operations to reach shared goals. You surprise us with new ideas and directions. You are easy to collaborate with but can also work independently when the work requires it. You have good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.
