Welcome to us! Your responsibilities As a librarian in a focus library, you are responsible for the pedagogical library activities. You work closely with the educators at the school, which is an important resource for increased goal achievement. Your role as focus librarian at Ulleviskolan primary school and Ulleviskolan adapted primary school means that you, in collaboration with teachers, inspire students' reading development and develop their media and communication skills. In cooperation with the school's staff, you also conduct teaching in source criticism and information searching, and support with alternative learning aids. You are also part of the school's development and values-based work. You are a natural and important part of our entire team. Your workplace Ulleviskolan is located in the Skäggetorp district. The school has existed since the 2021/2022 school year and has both primary school and adapted primary school under the same roof. In Linköping, development work on school libraries in primary school has been ongoing for several years. As a focus librarian, you are part of a well-established network that meets regularly and is led by a coordinator. In the group, you have access to high collective expertise, natural knowledge transfer, and an open discussion climate. About you We are looking for someone with a university or college degree in library and information science, or alternatively other relevant education assessed by the employer. We would also like to see that you have experience with reading promotion work among children and young people, as well as experience in training and teaching in media and information skills. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both written and verbal. This is to be able to create common pedagogical platforms in the school's shared drive, be able to formulate pedagogical plans and goals, and write informative newsletters about the school library at an appropriate language level. We are looking for someone with a good ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your work efficiently. You listen, communicate, and work well with other people. Furthermore, it is natural for you to create new contacts and you have an ability to maintain relationships. In your work, we see that you can act according to your own convictions, while you understand the bigger picture and take the larger perspective into account.
