We are looking for someone who thrives with varied tasks and in meeting our users. We are now hiring two librarians who will both work with: Teaching You will plan and conduct instruction in information searching for our students. You will establish and maintain contacts with instructors and course coordinators, work on developing digital materials, conduct surveys, and participate in relevant projects with your colleagues in the teaching team. You will also provide individual guidance in information searching for students. For one of the positions, teaching will primarily focus on students in the School of Science and Engineering, while the other position focuses on students in the School of Culture and Education. Both positions include teaching at two of our campuses: Valla and Norrköping. You should therefore be prepared for some travel between campuses. Cataloging You will work with cataloging in Libris and in our local system FOLIO, primarily of physical materials. Public Services The position includes public service at the Campus Valla Library. In our library, public service is divided into team Info, which staffs our physical and digital information desks, and team Expo, which works outreach-oriented toward our students. You will be assigned to one of these teams. The positions also include other work tasks common to libraries. About You We are looking for someone who is service-oriented, thorough, and innovative. You enjoy working in a team but also have the ability to work independently and with self-motivation. It is important that you are flexible, can adapt to operational needs, and see opportunities for development. You have a particular interest in pedagogy and digital methods. In all areas of work, you will interact with colleagues and library users. Therefore, it is essential that you collaborate well and are skilled at building and developing relationships. You work outreach-oriented to reach the library's various user groups. The work also involves working in different IT systems, which requires some technical understanding and an interest in learning new systems. We want you to have: - A degree in library and information science - Experience with teaching or public events - Strong knowledge of Swedish and English, spoken and written - Strong IT skills It is a merit if you have: - Experience with Libris cataloging or other cataloging/metadata work. Your Workplace These positions are based at Campus Valla Library. The library is located in the Student House. Campus Valla Library provides library services to Linköping University's education and research at Campus Valla in Linköping. Part of the teaching will be located at Campus Norrköping. You can easily travel between our campuses using the campus bus.
