Job Description As a librarian at Västervik Correctional Facility, you are responsible for running and developing library services in close collaboration with the library assistant. In this role, you work to make literature accessible to clients by offering book loans, handling orders, and responding to requests. This may include meeting individual needs, such as delivering books to clients in isolation or purchasing specific titles upon request. You receive clients during regular library visits and play an active role in promoting reading by providing book recommendations and guidance. The client group is generally very interested in reading, which creates good opportunities to contribute to meaningful activities and personal development through literature. The work also includes purchasing and selecting literature as well as monitoring developments within the library's and the facility's areas of focus. You are expected to continuously develop and refine library services based on clients' needs and operational constraints.
