VTI, the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute, is seeking a staff member for our library. About the Role The main responsibilities are IT-related: maintenance and development of the library system, the library's e-resources, statistics, and other data management. The position also includes data entry and management in DiVA, as well as support to researchers on matters such as publishing and open access. You will also participate in development projects and continuous improvement work within the library. Other tasks may also occur. The position is based in Linköping. About You You have a university degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent. Experience from work at a research or specialized library is a merit. Your strong interest in IT means you enjoy working behind the scenes with technical systems. It is a merit if you have experience working with Koha, which is the library system we use, and EBSCO's Discovery system (EDS). You should have documented good knowledge of JSON, XML, JavaScript, CSS, and MARC, and we would like to see that you can handle data using tools such as Python or R. Experience with DiVA and cataloging is also a merit. Good language skills in both speech and writing in Swedish and English are required. As a person, you are thorough, goal-oriented, and service-minded, and you enjoy and have the ability to collaborate with others. You are solution-oriented and take initiative to develop the operation in dialogue with colleagues. We will place great emphasis on your personal suitability. If you are the person we are looking for, we can offer varied and independent work in a stimulating environment at an interdisciplinary research institute.
