With us, you will be part of the Culture and Library unit with three public libraries in Svedala, Bara, and Klågerup. Together, we work to create inclusive meeting places that strengthen reading enthusiasm, education, and democracy for all residents. Assignment We are looking for someone who is driven and wants to help develop library services for children and young people in Bara and Klågerup. The assignment as a children's librarian involves taking responsibility for the library's important target group of children and young people, where children's participation and education are in focus. You have good knowledge of literature for children and young people as well as strong digital skills that can be used in your reading promotion work. You are creative, take initiative to find new working methods, and actively work to build good relationships. As a librarian specializing in children and youth, you have an important role in developing and implementing activities for children, young people, and their adults. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a strong commitment to children's and young people's reading, learning, and participation. You see the library as an important meeting place and want to contribute to creating activities that are relevant, inspiring, and accessible to different target groups. You have a degree in Library and Information Science, ABM, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. We would also like to see that you have experience working with children and young people. As a person, you are curious, creative, and development-oriented, and you enjoy trying new ideas and ways of working. You like to translate ideas into practical activities and have the ability to plan, implement, and follow up on activities and projects. You build relationships easily and cooperate well with colleagues, preschools, schools, associations, and other actors in the local community. You have a user-focused approach and a genuine interest in literature and reading promotion work. At the same time, you have an eye for the library's development and are interested in how new working methods, forms of communication, and collaborations can help reach more children and young people. You work both independently and with others, take responsibility for your tasks, and actively contribute to a positive work environment.
