Security Chief

Environment, Preparedness and Security Do you have experience from the security industry and demonstrate confident and clear leadership? The Role of Security Chief As Security Chief, you will lead and develop Region Jönköping's security operations and the employees within the security unit. You have personnel responsibility for our security guards and create favorable conditions for the team to carry out their mission professionally, with a service-oriented approach, and with high quality. You report directly to the Operations Manager for Environment, Preparedness and Security. The role is operational, administrative, and development-oriented. Your responsibilities will include: • Lead and develop Region Jönköping's security operations. • Oversee personnel, work environment, staffing, competence development, and personnel planning. • Direct and monitor external security assignments and contracted suppliers. • Manage other duties performed by security guards, such as parking enforcement, and coordinate with the Police Authority. Your main location is at Länssjukhuset Ryhov in Jönköping. The assignment also includes monitoring and developing security operations at Höglandssjukhuset in Eksjö and Värnamo Hospital and therefore involves travel within the region. You will be part of the management team for Environment, Preparedness and Security and contribute to the organization's collective development. Your Future Workplace Environment, Preparedness and Security consists of approximately 40 employees in four units: environment, preparedness, security, and surveillance. The operations are part of Operational Support and Services and work to provide the best possible support to Region Jönköping's operations. Your Profile We are looking for you who have: • Several years of experience from the security industry. • Good insight into and understanding of security guards' work. • Experience managing employees, preferably in security, safety, or related operations. • Strong ability to plan, organize, and develop operations. Experience with parking enforcement is meriting. As a leader, you are confident, clear, and responsive. You collaborate well, build trust, and can shift between operational issues and long-term development. You see the bigger picture and contribute solutions that benefit Region Jönköping as a whole.
