Behavioral Scientist, Social Psychiatry

We are looking for a new colleague to join us at Björkhultsvägen. Within social psychiatry, we work with individual support in daily life for people with various cognitive, social, and mental health variations. We create the conditions, quality of life, and tools for our individuals to achieve an independent life. Together we make a difference, and your role is important. Björkhultsvägen is a stairwell housing with a mixed target group. The residence houses users between 20-70 years old with various mental health variations. The residence is part of Unit 1b within social psychiatry, which currently consists of three specialized residences. Here work both residential support staff, behavioral scientists, support pedagogues, and group leaders. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS In your role, you support people in their daily lives, both practically and by creating conditions for increased independence among our residents. You work motivatingly and adapt the support according to each person's needs and circumstances. Based on individual implementation plans, you plan together with the person what interventions are needed. Both the assessment and implementation plan are followed up regularly. Daily documentation is part of the work. You write what happens in daily life and how the interventions work for the user. An important part of your task is to find working methods and approaches that make daily life better for the individual. You also contribute to developing the work together with your colleagues. This could involve providing support with documentation, how we use various work methods, or in development work. Certain healthcare tasks, such as medication distribution and simple wound care, are included in the job duties. Heavy lifting may occur. Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, and weekends. In a six-week schedule, you work two weekends. QUALIFICATIONS This position suits you if you really want to work with people and want to be part of their development journey. You have a bachelor's degree in behavioral science or other education that we consider equivalent. To thrive in the role, we see that you have at least one year of experience working with people with mental health variations. It is an advantage if you have experience with documentation and work with implementation plans. If you have medication delegation and work experience within social psychiatry, that is an advantage. Knowledge of motivational interviewing (MI) and experience with working methods such as PFA, TBA, and ESL are also considered advantageous. As a person, you are confident, engaged, and communicative, and you have an easy time creating trusting relationships. You want to contribute to both the individual's and the organization's development. You have the ability to guide others and provide compassionate support. The role also requires you to work in a structured manner, have good planning skills, and be able to prioritize your work efficiently.
