About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now seeking more staff members. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation services, remand centers, and client transportation. Job Description Through your assessments, considerations, and coaching approach, you contribute to increased quality and consistent implementation of client sentences. The role involves identifying needs and proposing structures in dialogue with your manager and colleagues for how work can best be conducted. You thereby manage your own processes to maintain and develop probation service operations. Your duties include quality assuring decisions in relation to legislation, regulations, and handbooks, as well as supporting colleagues in developing decisions and decision documentation. In your assignment, you will lead the probation service team, mentor and coach probation officers in daily client work, and introduce and support new staff members in their role as probation officers. We are looking for someone who has: • A bachelor's degree with a focus on law, behavioral science, or political science, or alternatively other academic education combined with experience deemed appropriate. • Ability to express yourself well orally and in writing in Swedish • Experience handling administrative authority matters • Good knowledge of administrative law It is also advantageous to have: • Experience with decision-making based on legislation • Experience with supervisory tasks • Experience with the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's operations • Experience with and good knowledge of probation service operations • Knowledge of supervision handling, RBM-B, and VSP The employment is fixed-term until December 31, 2027.
