We are seeking a Decision Maker for Detention Unit 7, Arlandastad.

What does a Decision Maker do?
As a Decision Maker, you provide support and develop your colleagues in legal application, substantive matters, and investigation methodology. You identify and analyze areas for development and develop improvement proposals. On behalf of the unit, you gather and maintain knowledge as well as monitor standards, guidelines, and practices.
You handle, investigate, and decide cases with the support of laws and regulations. The decisions you make have legal effect for individuals and affect their rights to benefits, privileges, and obligations. You handle appeals and follow up on cases in connection with hearings to ensure high legal quality. Your tasks include making confidentiality assessments before information is disclosed and administering files and documents in cases. You also work with guiding and providing service to individuals who have a case at the Swedish Migration Agency and to other stakeholders who have questions of various kinds.

This role requires that you can have a holistic view and you are decisive. We are looking for someone with a good understanding of how people acquire knowledge and people's different conditions. You act with clarity and pedagogical insight in how you should convey information and knowledge to the organization.

You have
Academic education of at least 120 credits with legal, social science, or behavioral science focus
Several years of current experience handling qualified administrative law cases
Current experience with case handling according to applicable legislation
Good knowledge of administrative and immigration law
Good communication skills and express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English
Good knowledge of the Office suite
It is advantageous if you have
Experience conveying knowledge in legal application
Experience working in public sector operations
Experience making decisions in immigration cases
Experience with a coaching approach
