As a Contingency Planning Specialist, you will have one of Sweden's most important jobs, in which you will contribute daily to Sweden's electricity supply. About the Role As a Contingency Planning Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting impact analyses, developing continuity plans, identifying risks and vulnerabilities, and proposing measures. We are now seeking a specialist for our unit to strengthen our work in risk analysis and continuity coordination. You will ensure resilience and sustainability during disruptions, crises, and war, based on the Civil Preparedness strategy for the Grid Division. The strategy encompasses risk management, continuity management, crisis leadership and wartime organization, training and exercises, emergency supplies, repair readiness, strategic agreements, and fortification protection. Depending on your background and/or interests, there is significant opportunity to influence the role's content and direction. Your responsibilities will include: Coordinating the Grid Division's activities related to our Civil Preparedness strategy, developing analyses, proposing solutions and prioritizations from a preparedness perspective Leading and developing continuity management efforts Leading and developing risk and vulnerability analysis work Mapping critical operations and processes Continuously participating in conducting analyses based on changing external circumstances As a Contingency Planning Specialist, you will be part of the Civil Preparedness Grid section and the underlying Civil Preparedness Planning unit. The section works across the entire Grid Division and currently consists of 14 people. The section was established in 2023, which gives you the opportunity to participate in the continued development of the section and units within Civil Preparedness. The Contingency Planning Specialist role requires a strong ability to collaborate across functions, as you will have extensive contacts within the division, across other divisions at Svenska kraftnät, and externally. Business development is an important part of the role, as new working methods and focus on reducing lead times and improving efficiency are needed to meet the high growth rate. We expect you to have relevant university or higher education in engineering, engineering science, political science, risk management, leadership and management, law, or other higher education that Svenska kraftnät deems equivalent. Furthermore, you have: Several years of experience working in transmission or regional grid networks, or alternatively other critical infrastructure Relevant work experience and strong knowledge of civil preparedness and total defense Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written Category B driving license We consider it a merit if you have experience in: Specifying requirements for operations based on civil preparedness and total defense Project management or project coordination Continuity management Risk and vulnerability analyses Conducting independent investigations at a government agency Working with requirements and governance documents Handling security-classified information and/or systems Good to Know The position is located in Gothenburg, Sundbyberg, Västerås, Sundsvall, or Luleå.
