Security and Preparedness Department Region Uppsala's Management Office is part of Region Uppsala, one of the largest employers in Uppsala County. Our Operations Region Uppsala's Management Office has a governing role based on region-wide political issues and the departments' areas of operations. The Management Office also has a supporting and coordinating role in relation to the administrations and is responsible for cooperation and coordination with external actors as well as represents Region Uppsala in external contacts, both within and outside the county. The position is placed at the Civil Preparedness Unit, which is part of the Security and Preparedness Department at the Management Office. The department is responsible for regional work within security and preparedness. Within the unit, there are specialists in crisis and disaster medical preparedness, civil defense, training and exercises, technology and communications, risk and vulnerability analysis, and crisis communication, among others. The unit drives Region Uppsala's transformation work, development, and building of robust capabilities within the area of crisis preparedness and civil defense. Your Assignment We are now seeking a preparedness strategist in the personnel area for crisis preparedness and civil defense, who feels committed to building, developing, and maintaining Region Uppsala's capabilities within the preparedness sector. You will work closely with HR in developing and managing Region Uppsala's assignment to assign employees to wartime positions. Your assignment includes coordinating the region's responsibility regarding the Support Force, which is carried out with support of the Act (2008:552) on disaster medicine as part of Swedish operations abroad. You will participate in cooperation and analysis of preparatory activities for Region Uppsala as civil service for healthcare personnel and the development of a national reinforcement resource. The assignment includes analyzing reports, preparing statements on referrals, drafting decision documents for senior management and political leadership, and participating in internal and external networks at the local, regional, and national levels. You will be part of meaningful, exciting, and developmental work in close collaboration with colleagues in a positive and creative work environment filled with expertise and curiosity! Your Qualifications You have good analytical skills and expertise in process work. You can balance both independent work and work as part of a team. The work involves many contacts, both internally and externally, which places high demands on your ability to communicate, collaborate, and build good relationships. The position may be classified as confidential. This may mean that security vetting and criminal records checks will be conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act before employment. Swedish citizenship is required for the position. We place high demands on our employees' security and confidentiality awareness and attach great importance to personal suitability. Requirements • You have a relevant academic degree, university or college education, or alternatively other education and work experience that we consider relevant for the position. • You have knowledge of the Swedish crisis preparedness system and total defense. • Swedish citizenship. • Passed security vetting. • Category B driving license. • Good computer skills and ability to express yourself well in speech and writing, write reports, investigations, and compilations. Merits • Professional experience within public sector activities, healthcare sector, and knowledge of the region's critical societal assignments. • Professional experience working in a politically governed organization. • Professional experience within crisis preparedness and civil defense.
