About the Position Would you like to work in a developing environment where you become an important part of a mission-critical operation? Society's increasing need for electricity, climate change, and an escalating security policy threat landscape mean that electricity supply needs to increase its efforts to manage serious disruptions and threats. We are now seeking Emergency Preparedness Specialists with a focus on crisis management and environmental monitoring. Together with the team leader, develop and manage Svenska kraftnät's On-Call Official (TiB) function and crisis management organization, and participate in our environmental monitoring function. The environmental monitoring function should, among other things, support TiB during incidents. This is a new position, and helping to shape the role is part of the assignment. Participate in Svenska kraftnät's work on total defense planning and war organization. The work involves collaboration with external actors such as electricity grid companies and authorities. You will be part of Svenska kraftnät's crisis organization in the event of societal disruption. Represent Svenska kraftnät in various types of networks for collaboration with other actors. May need to support other functions in the unit. You will primarily work with environmental monitoring, analysis work, and developing situational assessments. You will also work on strengthening Svenska kraftnät's and electricity supply's preparedness for crises, heightened alert, and war. You will independently and together with others drive development work in the areas of crisis preparedness and civil defense. The Emergency Preparedness Unit coordinates, develops governing documents, supports, and follows up on Svenska kraftnät's internal work with crisis preparedness, continuity, crisis management, and Svenska kraftnät's total defense work within electricity supply. We are approximately 14 employees. Work with risk and vulnerability analysis, as well as climate and vulnerability analysis, also takes place in this unit. About You Required Qualifications: Personal Qualities: As a person, you are structured, results-oriented, and have the ability to create order in complex contexts. Since this is a new position, you need to be comfortable building up and further developing working methods, processes, and collaboration forms within your area of responsibility. You take initiative, drive matters forward, and translate ideas into concrete results. You have good collaboration skills and are skilled at creating and developing relationships both internally and externally. The role involves collaboration with many different actors, which requires that you can listen to different perspectives and find common paths forward. At the same time, you are confident in your competence and can stand firm in well-founded assessments when needed. You have a holistic perspective and the ability to see beyond your own operations. In your assessments, you proceed from what provides the best effect for electricity supply and total defense as a whole, even when different interests need to be weighed against each other. The role also places high demands on stability and good judgment. You remain calm and work methodically even under stressful conditions, such as during societal disruptions, crises, or work in a crisis management center. You can quickly analyze information, develop situational assessments, and contribute well-considered decision-making support even when timeframes are tight. Education: You have a degree in social science, political science, crisis preparedness, crisis management, or equivalent experience that the employer considers equivalent. You also have: Good knowledge of society's crisis preparedness. Experience with crisis preparedness work and experience with crisis management work including environmental monitoring and situational assessment work.
