WORK RESPONSIBILITIES
The Fire and Rescue Service is responsible for coordination and support in processes concerning, among other things, personal safety, insurance matters, civil preparedness, and security protection. We participate in crime prevention and safety-building work and collaborate with the municipality's other operations and companies for coordinated and efficient security solutions. The Fire and Rescue Service is organized under the Municipal Executive Office, and we report directly to the Municipal Director.
You will have the opportunity to lead development work within emergency preparedness, which means identifying and analyzing risks and planning how situations should be handled. Your position is primarily focused on meeting the requirements set for municipalities through laws, regulations, and assignments to build a robust war organization in Eksjö Municipality.
As an Emergency Preparedness Coordinator, you will have work tasks within continuity and preparedness planning, civil defense, security protection, risk management, and more.
The position also includes work with planning, training, and exercises to strengthen the Fire and Rescue Service Eksjö's capacity during heightened alert.
You are expected to be able to lead and coordinate cross-sectoral working groups in the municipality and function as an expert both towards the elected officials and the operations in the municipality, as well as represent the municipality externally on matters concerning preparedness issues.
Eksjö Municipality is a dynamic workplace with opportunities for exciting collaborations. In Jönköping County, there is also, among other things, a very well-developed collaboration within the fire and rescue service (Räddsam F) and civil preparedness (F-samverkan).
An important part of the position is to participate and contribute to regional networks and working groups and to collaborate with various authorities and other organizations. Continuous competence development is also a natural part of the work.
A security clearance will be conducted before employment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications
You have post-secondary or academic education in areas such as crisis management, total defense, or societal development. You may also have other education in combination with work experience that the employer deems relevant.
• You have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
• You must have a B driver's license.
• You are a Swedish citizen as the position will be security classified.
Previous Experience
Experience of having worked in a politically governed organization and have experience of work within civil preparedness and/or fire and rescue service, and have knowledge of relevant legislation in the field.
It is also an asset if you have experience of conducting training and/or exercise activities.
It is an asset if you have experience in work to strengthen and develop the capacity of municipal fire and rescue service during heightened alert, RUHB.
