Since July 2025, the Agency for Growth Policy is a preparedness authority with sectoral responsibility for the industry, construction, and trade sectors.
We are now seeking a Preparedness Coordinator for our unit for Sectoral and Preparedness Responsibility.
About the Role
The role involves building and strengthening the Swedish Agency for Growth Policy's organization related to total defense and preparedness, with a particular focus on issues concerning supply preparedness, including public-private collaboration (PPC) and the business sector's role. You will, together with colleagues in the unit and within the agency, drive work to develop the industry, construction, and trade sectors. This means you will take on overarching projects and assignments within the sector that drive development forward. You will also contribute to coordinating preparedness work within the Swedish Agency for Growth Policy.
The work is in a formative phase, which creates significant opportunities for you, together with the unit, to influence the structure and implementation to strengthen the agency's role within the sector, the preparedness system, and ultimately total defense. The unit is planned to comprise approximately 10 employees with placement in Stockholm or Östersund.
Your duty station is Stockholm or Östersund.
We are seeking someone with:
University or college degree in political science, economics, law, or another degree that the employer deems relevant for the assignment
At least two years of current experience working at a national government agency
Experience with multi-stakeholder work in the Swedish preparedness system at the national level
Experience with and strong ability to drive and lead projects within the preparedness area
Good knowledge of public administration
Strong ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
The following are merits:
Education in total defense, crisis management, or similar through the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency or the Swedish National Defence University
Experience working with security-classified activities and security protection work
Experience with issues concerning business, civil defense, and/or military defense related to preparedness
Experience from sectoral responsibility work at a government agency or preparedness work within geographically defined areas of responsibility
Experience with supply preparedness

Employment Type and Closing Date
The position is a permanent employment. We apply a 6-month probation period. Travel is included in the position. The position is classified for security purposes and requires Swedish citizenship. Security clearance with record check will be conducted before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
