Since July 2025, the Swedish Agency for Growth Policy is an emergency preparedness authority with sector responsibility for the industrial, construction, and trade sectors.
We are now seeking an Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for our unit for Sector and Emergency Preparedness.
About the Position
The role involves building and strengthening the Swedish Agency for Growth Policy's organization related to total defense and emergency preparedness, with particular focus on supply chain preparedness, including public-private collaboration (PPC) and the business sector's role. Together with colleagues in the unit and across the agency, you will drive work to develop the industrial, construction, and trade sectors. This means you will take on overarching projects and assignments within the sector that drive development forward. You will also contribute to coordinating emergency preparedness work within the Swedish Agency for Growth Policy.
The work is in a formative phase, which creates significant opportunities for you, together with the unit, to influence the structure and implementation to strengthen the agency's role within the sector, the emergency preparedness system, and ultimately total defense. The unit is planned to include approximately 10 employees with placement in Stockholm or Östersund.
Your work location is Stockholm or Östersund.
We are looking for someone with:
A university or college degree in political science, economics, law, or another degree that the employer considers relevant for the position
At least two years of current experience working at a national state authority
Experience with collaborative work in the Swedish emergency preparedness system at the national level
Experience and strong ability to drive and lead projects within the emergency preparedness field
Good knowledge of public administration
Strong ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
The following are considered advantageous:
Education in total defense, crisis management, or similar through the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency or the Swedish Defence University
Experience working with security-classified activities and security protection work
Experience with issues related to business, civil defense, and/or military defense in connection with emergency preparedness
Experience from working with sector responsibility at a state authority or work with emergency preparedness within geographical area responsibility
Experience with supply chain preparedness

Employment Type and Application Deadline
The position is a permanent employment. We apply a 6-month probationary period. Travel is included in the position. The position is classified as security-sensitive and requires Swedish citizenship. A security clearance with background check will be conducted before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
