At Höglandsjukhuset, we are now seeking an Emergency Preparedness Coordinator with the ability to translate knowledge into practical action in a large and diverse organization where collaboration and a holistic perspective are crucial.
The Role of Emergency Preparedness Coordinator
As an Emergency Preparedness Coordinator, you will work strategically and supportively to develop and ensure strong preparedness. You have your own area of responsibility where you drive the development of preparedness work forward, while collaborating closely with other functions. A typical work week might involve holding a training session or exercise one day, and the next day developing plans together with operational units or supporting current preparedness matters.
In your role, you will:
• Work to anchor crisis and disaster medical planning within the hospital.
• Contribute a preparedness perspective in close collaboration with care operations and other hospital-wide functions to enhance the hospital's resilience.
• Update and develop the hospital's preparedness plans and procedures related to the disaster medical plan.
• Support operations in continuity management and establishment of backup procedures.
• Oversee training and exercises within the preparedness field together with colleagues in the preparedness unit.
• Develop and support the management function "Special Medical Leadership in Special Events".
• Prepare the hospital to handle peacetime crises and ultimately war.
This is a permanent full-time position based at Höglandsjukhuset in Eksjö. The position involves travel and requires a Class B driver's license. Since the role is classified as security-sensitive, Swedish citizenship and a passed background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) are required before taking office. Your workplace is at Höglandsjukhuset. You will work closely with colleagues in preparedness and security, while also having an independent role given the placement at Höglandsjukhuset. You will have significant responsibility for supporting the hospital's operations.

Your Profile
We are looking for someone who:
• Has education and experience as a registered nurse.
• Is responsible and can work both independently and in groups.
• Has knowledge of or interest in crisis preparedness and disaster medicine.
• Has experience in operations development and/or project management.
• Is a team player with strong collaboration skills and the ability to build networks.
• Has pedagogical skills and can communicate clearly and inspiringly.
• Is solution-focused and has strong planning and organizational abilities.
