Tillväxtverket is a preparedness authority and sectoral responsible for the new sector of industry, construction, and trade. Trade is crucial for distributing and ensuring access to necessary products in society.
The position is placed in the Rural Areas and Local Capacity (LOK) unit within the Business and Regional Development department. The LOK unit currently has responsibility for issues related to commercial services in rural areas, strengthened civil society, and enhanced local capacity in development matters.
About the Position
The focus of this role is to contribute to and strengthen Tillväxtverket's organization related to total defense and preparedness with a focus on trade. Work tasks include monitoring external conditions and challenges for the trade sector and establishing a structure for public-private cooperation. The role involves leading and developing content for ongoing reports such as monthly national situation assessments. The assignment includes creating networks for environmental monitoring, cooperation, and knowledge gathering regarding trade. Other government agencies, industry organizations, and relevant parts of the business sector within the trade industry are important partners in this. The role also includes developing cooperation internally within the agency and with the agencies Boverket and Sveriges geologiska undersökning, which are part of the preparedness sector. To succeed with the assignment, you will work together with other emergency management officers at the agency and benefit from other colleagues' competencies and knowledge.

Your place of work is: Östersund or Stockholm
We are looking for you who have:
- Education from a university or college, equivalent to at least three years of studies, preferably in a social science field such as: Risk and crisis management, social science, economics, or law.
- At least three years of experience in business development, urban planning, trade, or regional development.
- Experience with environmental monitoring, analysis, and written reporting regarding industry or business development, urban planning, or economic development at national/regional/local level.
- Knowledge of trade structures and conditions gained through work in the industry or studies.
- At least three years of work experience in cooperation and dialogue with businesses, organizations, and government agencies.
- Good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish and English.
The following are advantageous:
- Work experience in logistics and supply chains related to trade.
- Having worked in positions that required understanding of the different actors in trade and their most critical operations.
- Been active in total defense and experience with preparedness work such as continuity planning and risk and vulnerability analyses.
- Work experience in the Swedish preparedness system.
- Work with security-classified activities.
As a person, we are looking for someone who is a good communicator, collaborates easily, and is comfortable with external contacts and situations. You are analytical and have the ability to draw conclusions from complex situations. Furthermore, you are self-driven and proactive in your work. We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.
The position is placed in a security classification and requires Swedish citizenship. Security clearance with background check will be conducted before employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
