Tillväxtverket is an emergency preparedness authority and sector responsible for the new industry, construction, and trade sector. Trade is crucial for distributing and ensuring the availability of essential products in society. The position is placed in the Rural Areas and Local Capacity (LOK) unit within the Business and Regional Development department. The LOK unit currently handles matters related to commercial services in rural areas, strengthening civil society, and building local capacity in development issues. About the Position The focus of this role is to contribute to and strengthen Tillväxtverket's organization related to total defense and emergency preparedness with a focus on trade. Work tasks include monitoring external conditions and challenges for the trade sector and establishing a structure for public-private cooperation. The role involves leading and developing content for ongoing reports such as monthly national situation assessments. The assignment includes creating networks for external monitoring, cooperation, and knowledge gathering regarding trade. Other government agencies, industry organizations, and relevant parts of the trade sector business community are important partners in this. The role also includes developing cooperation internally within the agency and with the agencies Boverket and the Swedish Geological Survey, which are part of the emergency preparedness sector. To succeed with the assignment, you will work together with other emergency preparedness officers at the agency and benefit from the expertise and knowledge of other colleagues. The position is newly established and there are great opportunities for you to influence the structure and implementation. Your work location is: Östersund or Stockholm We are looking for you who have: Education from a university or college, equivalent to at least three years of study, preferably within a socially oriented field such as: Risk and crisis management, social sciences, economics, or law. At least three years of experience working in the areas of business development, urban planning, trade, or regional development. Experience with external monitoring, analysis, and written reporting regarding sector or business development, urban planning, or economic development at national/regional/local level. Through work in the industry or studies, acquired knowledge of trade structures and conditions. At least three years of work experience in cooperation and dialogue with businesses, organizations, and agencies. Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English. The following are merits: Work experience in logistics and supply chains related to trade. Held positions that required understanding of different trade actors and their most critical operations. Been active in total defense and have experience with emergency preparedness work such as continuity planning and risk and vulnerability analyses. Work experience in the Swedish emergency preparedness system. Work with security-protected activities. As a person, we are looking for you to be a good communicator, collaborate easily, and be comfortable with external contacts and contexts. You are analytical and able to draw conclusions from complex situations. Furthermore, you are independent and driven in your work. We will place great emphasis on personal qualities. The position is placed in a security classification and requires Swedish citizenship. Security vetting with background check will be conducted before employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
