We are now seeking a preparedness expert for our security department. With us, you will have a central role in developing work on civil defense and preparedness in close collaboration with the operational activities.
The Security Department is part of headquarters and has overall responsibility for security and preparedness within the agency. At the Security Department, specialists work with information security, physical security, personnel security, crisis preparedness and civil defense, internal investigations, staff protection and other security matters within the entire range from business protection to security protection.
Main Duties
As an expert, you will work on matters within preparedness and civil defense that can be linked to the Swedish Migration Agency's responsibility in this area. This largely concerns population movements across borders but also capability-enhancing measures to increase the Swedish Migration Agency's resilience in case of societal disruptions and in preparation for heightened preparedness. The position is at a strategic level, which means you will be involved in planning activities and shaping their content. This includes leading and working in various working groups and projects as well as contributing to the development of risk and vulnerability analyses/assessments. The role should also contribute to the agency developing its war organization, ensuring that training and exercises are conducted, and that the agency's overall capability to handle crises and heightened preparedness is developed.
In your assignment, you will also process referrals, cooperate both internally and externally, and work in groups with other experts in the security and preparedness field. Official travel will be a natural part of your work and standby duty may become relevant.

Requirements
Academic education in social sciences or with a focus on security, risk and crisis management, or other education combined with relevant and current experience for the position.
Experience of collaboration with or within the public sector in the preparedness and/or security field.
Experience of working with analysis and methodology development.
Good communication skills and knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing.
Swedish citizenship.
Merits
Experience of working with business development, for example normative documents and research work.
Experience of operational crisis management/staff work.
Experience of change management and/or follow-up work in the areas of continuity management, war organization, crisis management and/or risk and vulnerability analyses.
Experience of planning and conducting exercises and training in the preparedness field.
Knowledge of and experience in leading projects, preferably within crisis preparedness and total defense.
Experience of work within public or state activities.

Employment form: Permanent, may be subject to an initial probationary period

Start date: As soon as possible by agreement
Individual salary setting applies within a salary range of SEK 58,000 – 63,000 per month.
